Longwing Brogues
Longwings or Long Wing Brogues are available in the open Derby style of shoe. Longwing Brogues were de rigeur in the 1970s, when they were also known in the UK as American Brogues; and, not unpredictably, in America they were known as English Brogues. The Loake Royal is probably the best known of these; and in 2010 it is now offered with the option of a rubber sole as the Loake Sovereign (availaible in black only).
